The Bar Association's Literacy Volunteers Spelling Bee Team:

Ontario County Bar's "Just Spellers" made it into the final round of the Literacy Volunteers of Canandaigua Annual Spelling Bee on Sunday, January 31, 2010.  The team, comprised of President Susan Jones and her indispensible spouse, Jack Jones, made it to Third Place, tripping on the word "geocyncline".  (Of course, the previous word to the winning team was "indemnify".  Go figure!) Secretary Dave Whitcomb was unable to make it, leading Mr. Jones to comment, "Proves that one journalist is worth two lawyers!"
  The dynamic duo plans a repeat performance next year (perhaps Mr. Whitcomb will join us), and will aspire for the Gold!
